During the Images Festival in Vevey (www.images.ch), a Carte Blanche was given to Ante Timmermans to exhibit in the attic at the Jenisch Museum, an atypical, fairy-tale space which is usually closed to the public. Timmermans presents a project based on the notions of inwardness and scarcity and the exhibition will also feature his archives. The display reveals to visitors the artist’s secret world of drawings, videos, installations and lectures. He and a Belgian musician also dreamed up a visual and sonic piece, accompanied by a soundscape combining sounds of firework explosions and trumpets.
For this exposition, Vevey’s Jenisch Museum unveils a monograph about the artist, published by éditions jrp | ringier.
As part of this exhibition, Ante Timmermans and Bart Maris will preform on Sunday September, 9 and 30, from 4 to 6 p.m.
The Musée Jenisch also presents Before, After, the Last (2012) video-performance by Anne Rochat, film by Jean Otth.
Launch of the video-performance by Anne Rochat on Thursday September 13, 6pm, with the artist, Michel Layaz and Dominique Radrizzani
