Rebecca Horn & Guests

UGM Maribor Art Gallery, Maribor

UGM | Maribor Art Gallery in cooperation with Maribor 2012 European Capital of Culture and Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (ifa) is holding a major exhibition MARIBOR PROJECT / Rebecca Horn & Guests. Rebecca Horn exclusively for UGM and for the first time in Slovenia presents a special art project, which includes the exhibition of some of her most acknowledged works, selected by her personally, and an art installation made by the artist for the UGM venues. Rebecca Horn also selected works by guest artists Matthias Deumlich, Ali Kaaf, Antonio Paucar, Jakob Schaible and Markus Wüste, who represent one of the most exciting trends in the contemporary art.

The exhibition will be accompanied by music and literature events with internationally renowned guests.
Special guests: Hayden Chisholm, Yang Lian, Rod Mengham, Joachim Sartorius and Tomaž Šalamun

We invite you to attend the press conference before the opening of the exhibition on Thursday, 27 September 2012 at 11.00 a.m. at UGM, Strossmayerjeva 6, Maribor, Slovenia. Key speakers: Rebecca Horn, guest of the project Hayden Chisholm, representatives of the guest artists, representatives of Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (ifa) and Jamila Adeli.

Rebecca Horn will give only limited number of interviews, all the interested journalists need to be approved by the artist. For this reason we kindly ask you for a prior appointment with a short presentation of the journalist and media he or she represents, date and name of the media where the interview will be published and content of the interview.
