Magda Danysz Gallery is showing for the first time in France the most innovative Italian duo Sten Lex. Their first exhibition at the gallery is an opportunity to discover their innovative and monumental work carried out in situ.
Their work consists of portraits of anonymous characters that they photograph as well as portraits from album covers from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Moving between op art and stencil work Sten Lex is based on a technical finesse and unprecedented accuracy in their remarkable art.
Sten Lex’s exhibition follows several notable appearances in 2012. Among their most impressive performances include a monumental work done in Baltimore, as part of the outdoor exhibition Open Walls. In 2012 they exhibited at MACRO, Rome (Contemporary Museum of Art).
In their upcoming exhibition Sten Lex is assured to captivate and intrigue through the poetry of their subjects, conveyed by their unique techniques of stencil and op art.
