Conference on the book "L'experience de la ville" with Sylvain Malfroy
Sylvain Malfroy, Historian in the fields of Architecture and Urban Planning, will question the role and place of the observer of the contemporary urban fabric in relation to the figure of the high-profile visionary urban planner: a role marked by a receptivity to dysfunctions and to risks of disruption. As for photography, it appears to be particularly useful to track down such tensed situations, according to the lecturer. The conference is organized on the occasion of the release of the book L'experience de la ville (The Urban Experience). A discussion with photographers Yann Amstutz, Mathieu Gafsou and Milo Keller, and three of the book's co-authors, Jean-Christophe Blaser, Marcel Schiess and Sylvain Malfroy, will follow the presentation. A book signing session will take place after the conference.
