Today - A Banquet. This exhibition brings together travel, cuisine and art, creating a carefree, happy and fun feast that can only be described as sumptuous. A culinary creation on the spot, giving the audience an unusual and vicarious experience.

Li Jin is acclaimed as the most intelligent genius-artist in China's ink painting field today. He derives inspiration from“ the ordinary” to reflect the delicate taste of family affection by depicting vivid living scenes. Though the traditional language of brush & ink was superbly used to display people's ordinary life, he is also good at using the contemporary colors to perform a sort of lively freshness.
Li Jin is particularly expert in painting scenes of gourmet & banquet, which has gained him the title of“ Artist of Gourmet”. LiJin· Today· Banquet organized by Today Art Museum will be presented to audience in December, 2012. Li Jin, by then, will be carrying his“ banquet”, guiding the audiences ,going to his portal of“ Delicious Art”.
Li Jin has been on a“ Journey of Art &Gourmet” starting from March to create works for Li Jin· Today· Banquet . His journey covers tens of cities including New York & Boston in USA, Hu Nan, Yun Nan, Gui zhou, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang &Taiwan in China, Hamburg & Munich in Germany for his long scroll of gourmet. He absolutely will bring the audience exceptional living experiences by tasting various local refreshments in person and creating works for the delicious food right on the spot. The local conditions & customs of different areas as well as the collision & combination of gourmet & cultures were also recorded by him during this journey. Therefore, the“ favorite gourmet in minds” was well-founded to be brought to the audiences. He also created along ink scroll over 30m, which has never tried before in his painting.
This exhibition is a combination of travel, gourmet & art, aiming to present a“ gluttony banquet” to the audiences in an“ easy, joyful & playful” form. Li Jin never stops his recording in his artistic journey to discover beauty in real life, to search for the conjunction point in the cultural collision. In his unique way, Li Jin conveys the spirituality of Chinese ink painting as well as the charm of this fine and old artistic form.
