Stuff. We are constantly surrounded by it and love the status we acquire through it. Even if the economy is in the dumps and purchasing power has decreased, the fetishization of objects has not. iPhone chic reigns supreme. There is now a generation of artists who focus on the value and meaning of materials and objects in contemporary late capitalism. Their clean minimalist sculptures reveal a unique view of objects themselves, the society in which they operate, and the realities they define.
