Cirrus is pleased to present Recess, a group show of emerging artists living and working in Los Angeles, curated by Brienne Arrington, and Dan Bayles. Artists engage themes both playful and melancholy, utilizing multiple mediums including video, photography and sculpture in order to create work that comments on socio-cultural attributes that have shaped their lives and practices.The exhibiting artists include Chris Ellis, Heather Cantrell, Kenji Hashimoto, Dawn Kasper, Ruben Ochoa, and Noah Peffer. Each artists work challenges societal norms providing viewers with a recess from the ordinary.

In the Shadow of Summer Bliss
Cirrus Gallery is pleased to announce In the Shadow of Summer Bliss, the first in a series of screenings by international and local visual artists. Presented as a sequence of video projections, artists of varying backgrounds and methodologies are brought together in an open-ended dialogue regarding the expressive potential of this contemporary medium.This screening will coincide with the LA International, taking place at various Los Angeles venues, and the Scope LA art fair at the Standard Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. Artists from China, Spain, Italy, and the United States will be featured.
