CCA Artists-in-Residence Program: Kirstin Arndt, Carsten Fock, Nick Oberthaler & Tilo Schulz
Despite the different aesthetic expressions, we noticed formal and content parallels between our artistic practices. This grew into the idea of making an exhibition and collaborative work together. The exhibition's basic structure through the spaces in the CCA Kunsthalle is defined by the site-specific cable construction by Tilo Schulz. The skilfully drawn tension begins accompanied by the wooden frame-like structure by Nick Oberthaler and Kirstin Arndt's paperwork. Running diagonally to the next wall it meets with a collaborative work by Oberthaler and me, a collaged landscape drawing. The movement of the strain leads to an almost empty architecture, a space in-between - introducing sea and mountain, between shape and abstraction.
