with Wolfram von Bodecker and Alexander Neander
directed by: Lionel Ménard

"...in the early hours the musician opens his eyes - and realizes that he is
still alive. But not only that: his reason for being alive, his double bass,
seems to have survived the crash. Fallen from the sky and still alive!
If only a stowaway had not used the case of the instrument as his hiding place.
Half way between dream and nightmare the young man endeavour to search, to find
and to picture the inaccessible love of his life, his one and only double bass.
We envisage ourselves in the musician and picture `the others` in the stowaway -
and with all their alikeness, they are yet so different.
In the end the young man opens his eyes. Yes, he is alive but is all alone in
the world..."
The Théâtre Mimo Magique despite its strong roots in the classic tradition of
Marcel Marceau - all three of us have worked with him - is sensitively meeting
the challenge of this new development. By combining the "mimomdrame" with the
"théâtre d`objet" and "théâtre d`image" we have, thus, developed our own
specific theatre form.
Our different musical experiences have helped to guide us in our research and to
refine our fantasies.
