Alongside an important body of wall drawings, on view since March 2012 until 5th August 2013, Sol LeWitt as a collector. An artist and his artists presents Sol LeWitt's private collection, from 18th April to 18th August 2013.
This extraordinary collection of close to 4,000 works ranges from minimal and conceptual art of the 1960s and 1970s to vintage photography and contemporary sculpture, Australian aboriginal art, Japanese prints from the early nineteenth century, and the furniture of Gerrit Rietveld.
This groundbreaking exhibition will assemble some one hundred works from Sol LeWitt's private collection, mostly drawings on paper and photography by different artists, and benefits from a significant loan by the LeWitt Collection (Chester, Connecticut).
