Apollo. For her second exhibition at f a projects, Grazia Toderi will be showing new video and photography. Places of play and performance are key subjects in Toderi's work. Visions of stadiums, theatres and cityscapes characterise her recent work, which articulate a path made up of personal and collective memories. These simple subjects are eloquently used to explore the relationships within the universe and man's place within it.

Concurrently, Toderi will have a solo exhibition at West London Projects, where she will be exhibiting two other video works, previously unseen in this country.
'The subtle movements and infinitesimal happenings in Grazia Toderi's video pieces create a world charged with magic. Objects and figures, always photographed in plan fixe, oscillate between the real and the unreal, implicated in plot sequences that do not actually correspond to our quotidian experience but nevertheless seem recognizable. As one looks on inthralled, almost hypnotically attracted, an elevated attention that one might call 'disinterested pleasure', familiar from childhood, sets in. The enchanting power of Toderi's work lies in these calm spaces, invitations to immerse ourselves mentally in a world of remarkable events.'
