International Art Exhibition - Athens 2003. The exhibition aims to trace and select some of the proposals of the art of today which touch the spirit of our times, expressing its conscience and its latent concerns. The exhibition will attempt to channel the viewer's attention towards these quests. This can be best achieved if the show is seen as an international platform for comparison and dialogue.

The exhibition aims to trace and select some of the proposals of the art
of today which touch the spirit of our times, expressing its conscience
and its latent concerns. The exhibition will attempt to channel the
viewer's attention towards these quests. This can be best achieved if the
show is seen as an international platform for comparison and dialogue.
OUTLOOK aspires to emerge as an artistic event of major international
importance- and the first of its kind in Greece. The exhibition will
attempt to reflect the creative fever and the alternative cultural forms
which mark the orientation and disposition of art at the beginning of the
21st century.
Today's art exists in an environment where the media take part in
determining many of the rapid changes in society. The questions arising
from this reality need to be critically contemplated and analysed in the
frame of OUTLOOK.
The participant artists will be present with a series of their works, for
a better understanding of the depth and scope of their art (installations,
objects, photography, painting, environments, sculpture, video, e.t.c.).
The exhibits will be presented in a way that will allow a broader public
to gain first-hand experience of these varied proposals.
Some of the artists will be asked to create in situ works specifically for
OUTLOOK. The three venues will each be given a particular character, so
that viewers will realise that they represent three 'chapters' which make
up the exhibition as a cohesive entity.
Throughout the history of art the main geographical centers of artistic
creativity have often shifted over time. Today we can say that for the
first time the 'peripheral idioms' claim an even more important role. This
change will inevitably be reflected in the exhibition OUTLOOK.
