Per la loro seconda mostra personale da ZERO ... João Maria Gusmão e Pedro Paiva affrontano unʼatroce vendetta.

Ehi, ehi, che cos'è quello? Lo vedi correre? Dove, dove? Non lo vedi? Guarda, si è fermato, non fare rumore, lì dietro alla palma finta, lo vedi adesso? Assomiglia proprio al gatto dei vicini, leggermente più grande direi, non credi? Sei sicuro che sia effettivamente un gatto, potrebbe essere qualcosa di pericoloso ... Sciocchezze, veloce, accerchialo da dietro, io apro la porta e cerco di spaventarlo per farlo andare via da qui, non possiamo avere animali qui dentro, non è igienico ... gattina, ehi gattina, su, su, vai via da qui ... GRReeeRRRRRRRRR

Questo evento particolare è legato ad un'altra conquista artistica del duo portoghese, che risale a quando Paiva e Gusmão avevano lo studio in un appartamento al 3° piano e iniziarono a essere infastiditi dal continuo desiderio di accarezzare il loro gatto domestico Mimi, un gatto grigio maculato, ma invece di mostrare gentilmente a Mimi la porta che lʼavrebbe condotta alla scala principale del palazzo, pensarono che fosse più intelligente buttarla fuori diritta dalla finestra e fotografarla (vedi lo scatto del 2010), un incidente estetico ... quellʼevento fu davvero vergognoso, e questa volta Mimi si è alleata con una bestia della sua stessa specie e sono entrambe in cerca di vendetta. No, ciò che hanno visto nel loro studio non é il feroce parente africano di Mimi, il leopardo, ma più probabilmente l'insidioso felino dellʼAmazzonia: lʼONÇA pintada, che ha delle macchie di sangue GEOMETRICHE.

For their 2nd solo show at ZERO... João Maria Gusmão and Pedro Paiva come face to face to a dreaded vendetta.

Hey, hey, whatʼs that? Do you see it running? Where, where? Can't you see it? Look, it stopped, don't make any noise, straight ahead behind the fake palm tree, do you see it now? It looks just like the neighbours' cat, slightly bigger I would say, don't you think? Are you sure this is a cat at all, it might be something dangerous... Nonsense, quick, circle it from behind, I'll open the door and try to scare it off from here, we can't have animals inside, it's not hygienic... pussy cat, hey pussy cat, xo, xo, get out of here... This particular incident is related to another artistic achievement from the Portuguese duo, when Paiva and Gusmão had a studio on a 3rd floor apartment they started resenting the constant urge for caressing from their pet Mimi, a grey spotted domestic cat, but instead of kindly showing Mimi the front door leading down to the main staircase of the building, they thought it was smarter to throw her straight out of the window and photograph it (see shot from 2010), an aesthetic accident... that was really shameful, this time around Mimi has allied herself with a fellow kin beast and they are both looking for revenge. No, what was seen at their studio was not the ferocious african relative of Mimi, the leopard, more likely the insidious amazon feline: ONÇA pintada gets GEOMETRICAL bloodstains.
