It is awarded to artists who live in Austria, are under the age of 40, and whose work is interdisciplinary. A global leader in management consulting on business strategy, BCG works with firms from a variety of industries and regions and has offices in more than 75 locations in 43 countries. The BC21 Art Award was established on BCG's tenth anniversary with a clear understanding of art's potential to overcome traditional ways of thinking and acting ultimately opening the way for new dialogues. The goal is to assist up-and-coming artists to gain international attention and develop networks through the support of a nomination and selection jury, an exhibition and a publication. Anna Witt's works as well as those of the other nominated artists, Marlene Haring, Ralo Mayer and Christoph Meier. Anna Witt wins the BC21 BostonConsulting & BelvedereContemporary Art Award 2013. She impressed the jury of international experts with the presentation of three video works that combine sociopolitical relevance and controversy with broad accessibility.
