(New York, NY) – This year celebrates Affordable Art Fair’s 15th anniversary as a global contemporary art fair, giving people the opportunity to own art regardless of the size of their wallet. The event is dedicated to fostering a relaxed and enjoyable environment where a diverse array of affordable contemporary art by living artists is available.

This spring’s fair will showcase 80 galleries at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. New York City’s most recent fall edition of the Affordable Art Fair received over 12,000 visitors and generated $2M in art sales in four days. “The strength of our niche market is increasing across all regions. Purchases at Affordable Art Fair this year totaled $45M – and when you consider the price ceiling ($10,000), that’s a lot of artwork being taken to a new home!” says Will Ramsay, Founder of the Affordable Art Fair. With such growing momentum, the fair, scheduled for April 3-6, with Private View on April 2, is slated to yet again break records.

The fair’s main level, comprised of internationally recognized galleries and Affordable Art Fair mainstays, including Manifold Editions, Rebecca Hossack Gallery, Coates and Scarry, Cube Gallery, Bicha, and Elisa Contemporary Art, will once again bring a wide range of contemporary work that will satisfy the diverse taste of this vast city.

The second floor is dedicated to emerging and established galleries showing new talent. “It is always important to us, at the Affordable Art Fair, to support and nurture the next generation of artists and galleries. This spring we will have an entire floor dedicated to them, including: Uprise Art, Art Students League of New York, See No Evil Gallery and Minan Gallery,” says Cristina Salmastrelli, Director of the Affordable Art Fair New York.

As always, there will be a strong Recent Graduate Exhibition at this edition of the fair. We are thrilled to announce Gabriel de Guzman, curator of visual arts at Wave Hill, as the curator of this recurring fair feature.

In addition, the fair will offer engaging programming for visitors alongside children’s weekend workshops, ensuring that there is something enticing for everyone. Onsite programming will take place throughout the run of the fair, with details to be announced.
