The Expansion of the MMK Museum fur Moderne Kunst Frankfurt am Main in the TaunusTurm
. Our long-cherished wish to present the MMK collection more comprehensively is now finally coming to fulfilment. In the autumn of 2014, a new branch of the museum, comprising some 2,000 square metres of additional exhibition space, will open at the TaunusTurm in Frankfurt's financial district. Within this context, the museum-now consisting of three branches - is being restructured: the MMK 1 in the main building in Domstrasse 10 will focus on the classics in the collection and temporary exhibitions of artists from all over the world, the MMK 2 in the TaunusTurm will feature changing shows of the most recent works in the collection, and the MMK 3 (the former MMK Zollamt) will present cooperation projects, events and new artistic approaches. At this press conference, in addition to the new MMK concept and the initial exhibition highlights at the three venues, we would like to take the opportunity to introduce the unique funding model for the new branch. 21 May at 10 am. Free admission.
