A group show inside the Bonn hoeren 2014 Feastival
The exhibition documents sound installations in public spaces in an exemplary manner. The works presented here not only have in common the fact that they have been permanently producing sound for many years: they are also paradigmatic for a type of artistic practice in which the central subject of creative postulation is the confrontation with a concrete location. Works from Max Neuhaus, Bruce Odland + Sam Auinger, Bernhard Leitner, Andreas Oldorp, Hans Peter Kuhn and Rolf Julius will be presented at places very diverse from both functional and atmospheric perspectives. Each in its own unique way, they address the areas of interaction between sound and public space, sound and architecture, and sound and nature, demonstrating in the process the abundance of perspective that work with sound 'in situ' can offer.
