...of sounds, words, turtles & you

Musee d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean - Mudam, Luxembourg

For their summer project at Mudam, Katharina Bihler and Stefan Scheib, the Liquid Penguin Ensemble, will be presenting a sound installation in which visitors can participate. Between 31 July and 21 August, with the help of museum guests, they will collect acoustic material or, to be more precise, words in the various languages of the visitors, who will speak them into a 'word container' through a microphone, along with a short explanation for their choice. Once a week, there will be 'clearing days' on which the two artists will hold short interviews with Mudam visitors about their favourite words and art, and also 'clear' the word containers and use the acoustic material found in them for a sound installation that will develop as a work in progress.
