A selection of works traveling between 60 years of creation
A hardworker and aninquisitive and politically implicated man, Michelangelo Pistoletto has developed a practice with an interest towards the fundamental rather the aestetic. He was a protagonist of Arte Povera bringing art into an active relation with the diverse sphere of society. Now iconic, his "mirrors" illuminate biennials, important exhibitions as well as art fairs and auctions. Beyond their power of seduction, they are part of a reflected oeuvre on the link between a man and his universe. The exhibition presents a selection of works traveling between 60 years of creation. The show is a collaboration between Solidere, Galerie Tanit Beirut and Munich and Galleria Continua San Gimignano, with the commitment of Michelangelo Pistoletto and Maria Pioppi and the generous participation of the Fondazione Pistoletto-Cittadellarte. Opening on November 11, 2014, 6p.m. in the presence of the artist.
