Cat Del Buono and her ReFemme use performances, happenings, and humor to get people to question the status quo. Miami, which seems to be the center of beauty obsession and plastic surgery, is the perfect place for these happenings.
ArtCenter alumna Cat Del Buono and her ReFemme team invite you to a free consultation in their Beauty Box, an interactive experience specifically for the Miami area. It comes with a prescription for your beauty needs. Stationed in front of ArtCenter’s 924 building, Beauty Box will be open Wednesday-Saturday, December 3-6, 2014, 4-8pm with additional hours on Saturday, December 6th during ArtCenter’s VIP Breakfast Reception 9am-12pm and ArtCenter’s Studio Crawl 7-10pm. Beauty Box is supported in part by the Awesome Foundation.

ReFemme was formed in Miami this past year by Cat Del Buono, Gina Margillo, Vivian Marthell and Natalia Panetta. Their ongoing “social interruptions” bring attention to practices in our society that are problematic and unequal for women. In the same vein as Guerilla Girls or Banksy, ReFemme use performances, happenings, and humor to get people to question the status quo. Miami, which seems to be the center of beauty obsession and plastic surgery, is the perfect place for these happenings.
