Group Show
Centred around numerous iconic images of war photography, the exhibition Conflict, Time, Photography looks at how photographers have used artistic means in depicting war and theatres of war. On display are some 200 exhibits from the period 1855-2013 which originate from a wide variety of geographical and political conflicts. What makes this exhibition so special is its sweeping survey of how the medium of photography has captured images and the testaments of war over a timespan of more than a century and a half. The piercing gaze of renowned photo artists like Jane and Louise Wilson, Albert Renger-Patzsch, and Michael Schmidt captures the (militant) conflicts in their work.
