SCREENING invisiblenetwork

Selections from Version>04 InvisibleNetwork includes:
Amniotic City – Alexandro Ladaga & Silvia Manteiga/ ELASTIC Group of Artistic Research. Amniotic City is a project in progress, an embryo of a virtual meta-city metaphor of the birth of a new mediatic 'civilization'.
Amniotic City is a simulacre of the contemporary urban condition inspired by a Women-space, a metaphoric motherboard clone of the Leonardo da Vinci man.
(DVD, TRT: 3min., 2003, Italy)

buffering... - Kit Hung
buffering... seeks to represent the disassociation of one's combined identity that lies between both the Internet and physical worlds. buffering..... is a poetic, romantic, yet bittersweet journey about searching for one's presence in the digital age, where anyone has the capability to share their own stories of love and loneliness within it.
(Digital video, TRT: 35min., 2003, Hong Kong/ Switzerland/ USA)

Compound. a Tale of Iconoclasm – Laura Chiari
The ''Compound'' sequence focuses on the human body described as a ''medical object'' and its spiritual projections: what do you see when you look around? and what's the role of representation in its poetical and political scope?
(CD-ROM, TRT: 3min. 30 sec., 2004, Italy)

DIGITALSNAPSHOT- minute manipulations of space, place and time – Lo Iacono
What does a moment look like? Can snapshots freeze a moment in time?
In DIGITALSNAPSHOT, motion fragments were captured and rearranged in a new visual context via unconventional digital manipulations. A long
take camera movement cycle generates a unique ''digital painting''
In this case DIGITALSNAPSHOT enables the viewer to experience a virtual walk through a beautiful park during summertime.
(DVD, TRT: 5min.,2003, Germany)

Who are you entertaining to? – Juan delGado
A video performance about the subject of cruelty. (DVD, TRT: 14min., 2002, UK)

The Diabolical Scheme- Alex Killlough
An experiment with automatons, paranoia, and surveillance archives. A proposal linking the predispositions of a number of imaginary subjects; also a research project into the subject of generative art and the possibility of randomness in a deterministic system. (Video, TRT: 5min. 2003USA)

45Minuets: Dancing the Whitewash Waltz, Lanfranco Aceti. This is a video representing the latest conflict between reality and illusion in the representation of power. It also attempts to decode the structures of mis-representation as a self delusional state instead of an illusionary reality. The whitewash becomes a looped condition, where perhaps the only escape is to switch off the medium.
