The renowned mystic, scientist and artist Evru (formerly known as Zush) will
present over forty pieces at Haim Chanin Fine Arts, from miniature to
large-format wax and ink drawings, bronze sculptures and an interactive
digital installation. Evru’s work conveys to the audience an unknown magical
universe. His portraits and sculptures depict a world of dream narratives,
irrational minds and sexual psychological depths. His scientific findings
are expressed in Asura, his personal alphabet. Evru irradiates a unique
aura, emphasized by the manipulation of sounds, lights, special effects and
objects. During the exhibition, the audience will manipulate the digital
installation to produce and print out their own works. Essential to Evru’s
work, is the dialogue with the audience; he requests their feedback and asks
for title suggestions. His ultimate goal is to communicate his personal
universe and spread his philosophy, the Evrugo Mental State. Many
prestigious museums and institutions have held exhibitions of the artist’s
works, among them Museu d’Art Contemporani, Barcelona, a retrospective at
the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina SofÃa, Madrid, Biblioteca Nacional,
Madrid, Richard Foncke Gallery, Gent, Belgium, Galeria Joan Prats,
Barcelona, Expo ’92, Sevilla, Ica-Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston,
Galeria Luis Adelantado, Valencia, Galerie de France, Paris and Marlborough
Gallery, Rome.
