On the eve of its fiftieth anniversary, the Fundación Juan March, which, save for rare occasions, has primarily dedicated its focus to art of the first-half of the twentieth century, now offers an international and multi-disciplinary overview that illustrates the coexistence and hybridization of different artistic languages and media: painting, sculpture, graphic art, photography, installation, and video.
With a special emphasis on the 1990s, the exhibition includes some of the key artworks of our time. They are works that reveal the interrelationship between art and life; specifically, modern life, in which the individual is exposed to an infinite number of images and events, fragments of a multiple and variable reality.
In view of its characteristics, the works, apart from the Juan March Foundation exhibition rooms, will also be staged in other areas that are not generally used for this purpose
