At the crossroads of How? and Why? stands sculptor
Steven Simon with his new show "MUCH" at L2Kontemporary Gallery.
Through the technique of "re-purposing" much of our everyday materials,
Steven's artwork offers political commentary and social/special
examination.
Realizing that the world is revealed to us through art more than war, MUCH
includes "Cheney 2008?", "Queen Condoleezza", "Prozac Rosary" and other
reflections on the current administration.
Steven builds intimate and intricate spaces with organic and inorganic
materials. He feels palm trees have been an important ally to human
development. The ubiquitous Queen Palm led the artist to the crossroads
of How and Why.
