CUT TO:

INT. ROSY 'S STUDIO APARTMENT- EVENING

Ten to thirty seconds may have passed. ROSY sits tensely on the couch, her face contorting from fearful crying to forced laughter. Behind her, with his legs around her, sits JONATHAN. Eyes glossy and with a coolness, JONATHAN addresses ROSY with his eyes and his words, playing with the gun still pointing down at the center of ROSY’s head.

JONATHAN
Laugh Rosy.

ROSY tries to force a laugh but continues to cry. JONATHAN leans into ROSY’s hair.

JONATHAN
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallow be thy name,
From kingdom come, that will . . .

JONATHAN turns his attention to centering the gun nozzle on ROSY’s head and begins playing with the trigger.

JONATHAN
I’m pulling the trigger.
I’m putting the gun in the middle.

ROSY begins laughing hysterically then cries. JONATHAN goes to pull the trigger, then, suddenly, removes the gun.

Project Space: Luisa Caldwell: BIV (somewhere at this end of the spectrum)

What began by liking the way candy wrappers look, all crisp and sparkly has turned into a cultural exploration of human behavior. Many people don’t think twice about littering small bits of paper. The ephemeral is transformed and qualified. While the sculptures aesthetic impact is intense, the social and cultural implications are also at work. Consumption, abundance, and wastefulness are implied.
