Graduating Student Exhibition

Foreman Art Gallery of Bishop's University, Sherbrooke

This is not 'Miss Canada/Universe Contest 2005'. The show presents an array of work illustrating the talents of Bishop's University fine arts students. The vast repertoire of visual creativity is captured through the means of painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media and photographs.

This is not “Miss Canada/Universe Contest 2005”

The Foreman Art Gallery of Bishop’s University proudly announces its seventh graduating fine arts student exhibition. This is not “Miss Canada/Universe Contest 2005” presents an array of work illustrating the flourishing talents of Bishop’s University fine arts students. The vast repertoire of visual creativity is captured through the means of painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media and photographs. The guest curator selected the best works, creating a selection that would participate in the dialogue of today’s contemporary art world. This professional setting allows the student-artists to show their work and allows the public to enjoy the creative output.

Artists include: Chantal Généreux, Janet Hardcastle, Verushka Lieutenant-Duval, Vanessa Liston, Marie- Lou Riberdy, Kate Metzger, Lori Lee Thomas, Jilliane Morin, Nancy Rheault, Fanny Ménard, Élaine Hébert and Noémie Desnoyers.

The exhibit’s published catalogue of the photographed studio work will be provided with write-ups from various Bishop’s student. Writers include: Laetitia Marmin, Romain Juilha, Rachel Harris, Michael Grandbois, Phoebe Chan, Jillian Meriles, Julie Doyon, Stéphanie Morin, Chantal Généreux, Lindsay MacLean, Gentiane Bélanger and Amanda Hofmann.

We would like to thank the Student Representative Council, the Dean of Humanities, the Dean of Student Affairs as well as Mrs. Monique Gagnon-Tremblay, deputy of Saint-François, for their financial support.
