An unveiling of the MCA's new acquisitions

Complementing Primavera and the Interesting Times: Focus on contemporary Australian art, the opening of Level 4 in its entirety is celebrated with an unveiling of the MCAâ€™s new acquisitions.

Here the new, all-Australian acquisitions are exhibited in the context of collection works to which theyâ€™re related, for example new acquisition by Hossein Valamanesh sits alongside a related kinetic sculpture by Jean Tinguely, in the collection since 1967.

Another artist new to the MCA collection is TV Moore whose work has previously been included in the MCAâ€™s annual Primavera exhibition. The focus of the new acquisitions is work by Australian artists and new media works, building a unique and distinctive collection.
