Lupus in Fabula
The title “Lupus in Fabula†comes from the Grimms brothers’ tale about a wolf and the 7 little goats. In the original story the mother goat had gone looking for food for her little goats and left them home alone. While she was away a wolf came and ate the little goats. When the mother goat came back, she found the wolf with a huge stomach sleeping under a tree. She saw that the wolf’s stomach is moving and decided to open it up with big scissors. She found her kids alive. The mother goat then put rocks in the wolf’s stomach and when he woke up he went to drink from a lake and drowned.
During the performance, the artist will build an installation that will stay in the gallery for the duration of the show.
A 15-minute video made form the two-hours long performance is a statement on all the wars and starvation in the world that we comfortably watch on TV at home thinking it is somebody else's business, when everyone should feel responsible.
