comunicato stampa

On the occasion of the IX Baltic Triennial of International Art organized by the Contemporary Art Centre in Vilnius (CAC), the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London (ICA) is pleased to host the Baltic Triennial 33 1/2: an accelerated show with magic, black markets, the undead, and other curiosities ready for you to engage with for positively 33 1/2 hours only, the estimated time of road travel between Vilnius and London.

Participants, and, hopefully the public, will be performing in a transparent, honest, and diligent manner, and might possibly agree not to divulge information offered or gained during the show nor about any type of transactions or appearances taking place within the ICA during those hours.

The Black Box will be there. Rumors tell that, in addition to the show at the ICA, a series of unplanned and weird but true paranormal occurrences will be taking place in its vicinity. The CAC and ICA have been unable to confirm their sources.

The Organization of Mysterious Economists, who have commented on IX Baltic Triennial of International Art, recently stated that, “Our science is still so dependent on an ontology of vision that it is unable to fully comprehend the occult manifestations of the invisible.”

Indeed, this is an important reason for the successful circulation of Baltxploitation, the use of the Baltic trademark to name inadequate paradoxes and phenomenon. With the Baltic Triennial 33 1/2, the ICA cautiously precludes importing the Dracula Strategy, which kills a project when shedding light on it or its parts.
