International art show
Art Basel Miami Beach takes place from December 1 - 4, 2005. The international art show in Miami Beach (Florida) is the American sister event of Art Basel in Switzerland, the most important annual art show worldwide for the past 36 years. Art Basel Miami Beach is a new type of cultural event, combining an international art show with an exciting program of special exhibitions, parties and crossover events including music, film, architecture and design. Exhibition sites are located in the city's beautiful Art Deco District, within walking distance of the beach and most hotels and restaurants.
An exclusive selection of 195 leading art galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia will exhibit 20th and 21st century art works by over 2000 artists.
The exhibiting galleries are among the world's most respected art dealers. They will be showing exceptional works by both renowned established artists and cutting-edge newcomers. Special exhibitions will feature young galleries and video art.

The Art Business Lounge is a new meeting and working space located in Lobby D of the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Guided Tours
The ArtNexus guided visits will be carried out daily by art critics. The tours will be available both in English and Spanish. Duration: 1 hour. Cost per person: US $12. Private or corporate groups up to 12 people: US$120.

Art Kids
The premier day care center for children with parents visiting Art Basel Miami Beach, will be comprised of a series of art related programs for children that will span from December
1 - 4, 2005. Art Basel will partner with The Miami Children's Museum to bring this wonderful opportunity to the artists and collectors of tomorrow. Children enrolled in the program will participate in arts and crafts, art history and story telling. Children would be under the supervision of the well-trained staff of The Miami Children's Museum. Program runs from noon to 8 p.m. December 1 - 3 and noon to 6 p.m. on December 4.
