For the first time, the gallery shows works by the artist Touhami Ennadre, who defines himself as "a painter into black".

Black and white photography is his medium of choice. Fundamental to his oeuvre and unifying all of his works is the extensive use of black. Black reveals the people he portrays, it gives them depth and relief. Portraits, hands and faces emerge from the dark/night, revealing situations and lives whose meaning often elude us.

Touhami Ennadre’s work speaks of sex, life and death. The artist confronts the viewer to emotions and feelings ranging from the most sensual to the most disturbing, the most tragic and dark. The highly finished aspect and dramatic impact of his works are the result of the artist’s various manipulations from the development of the film. Indeed he does not hesitate to add or subtract light or mask details so as to create his aesthetic vision of reality.

The difference/gap between the "classicism" of his compositions and the contemporary nature of his subject matters (New-York nine-eleven, Trance, under New-York, New-York Night Clubs, etc.) make Touhami Ennadre an outstanding photographer, whose works have already been shown in some of the most prestigious institutions such as the Guggenheim Museum in New-York, the Kassel Documenta 11 and the Maison Europe'enne de la Photographie in Paris.
