Curtis Ripley. This Life: Recent Paintings and Works on Paper. Elizabeth Tinglof: Mersion
Berman / Turner Projects is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition of new works by California based artist Curtis Ripley. This marks Curtis' third Solo exhibition with Berman / Turner Projects.
Inspired by poetry and music, Ripley's evocative paintings form a sort of visual jazz and poetic expression. Exploring the subtle colors of a mood and a world in constant motion, the artist presents a space where resonating images are as important as the depth of the atmosphere in which they exist. Careful placement of lines, smears, and collage over ethereal environments Instinctively draw the viewer into the depths of his work.
