THE DAY I BECAME A WOMAN (2000)
Based on a screenplay by the filmmaker Mohsen Makhmalbaf, this
film examines the intricate lives of women in Iranian society.
SHIRIN NESHAT'S TRILOGY AND NEW WORK
Shirin Neshat will present her trilogy of dual-screen videos on
male-female relationships in Iran: TURBULENT, (1999) FERVOR,
(2000), and RAPTURE. (2000). She will also premiere new works,
including a piece commissioned and scored by Philip Glass.

THE CIRCLE (2000)
The latest film by Jafar Panahi (director of THE WHITE BALLOON and
THE MIRROR) follows three women released from prison, whose need
for shelter and money leads them to take desperate measures.
