Jordi Teixidor

Solo Exhibition

In many occasions and interviews, Jordi Teixidor has commented the similarity between making a poem and making a painting; nevertheless, in the last decade, the constant of the black color, from that conceptual rigor that characterizes his work, they seemed next to the philosophical reflection that to the poetic one.

In his two last samples: in the Gallery “LA NAVE" of Valencia (November 2005) and in “Michael Dunev" of Torroella de Montgri' (August 2006), the works surprised with a clear one and renewed approach feeling pictorial, if it is that sometimes it could have distance. In his present stage, without leaving the rigor of the black, referring protagonist and, Teixidor it allows to the color a poetic incursion him. Are thought pictures to be seen, to give himself to the pleasure to watch, to contemplate and this consideration, that would be evident in as much painting and artists, is not it as much in the case of Teixidor whose work has often taken to us by the way of the nihilismo, the concealment and the emptiness to make patent its “reality".

In this exhibition of the Antonio Macho'n Gallery , the frank and evident presence of the pictorial thing makes us cross its painting with a impression of being accompanied by the own artist. Once again, with the benefit of the reading-contemplation of its painting, Teixidor is able to give occasion to moments of great benefit.
