The collective group of galleries on rue Louise Weiss, in the 13rd district, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with simultaneous openings. "For the very first time in France, 6 young gallerists involved in contemporary art (Praz-Delavallade, Almine Rech, Jennifer Flay, Emmanuel Perrotin, Air de Paris, Art: Concept) gathered together their energy and competence to create a structure where active art would find his place. Since 1997, galerie Kreo, Jousse Entreprise, In Situ, Christophe Davet Thierry et Gb agency and Franck Bordas Studio join us."

1997, april the 1st, the concept of “the rue Louise Weiss” is born.
For the very first time in France, six young gallerists involved in contemporary art (Galerie Praz- Delavallade, Galerie Almine Rech, Galerie Jennifer Flay, Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, Air de Paris, Art: Concept) gathered together their energy and competence to create a structure where active art would find his place.
Since 1997, galerie Kreo, Jousse Entreprise, In Situ, Christophe Davet Thierry et Gb agency and Franck Bordas Studio join us.

The young Louise Weiss street still missing of some maps of Paris was the galerists’choice because it offered many party spaces closed to the new François Mitterrand Library and to the Batofar, within a new and full movements neighbourhood of the 13rd district.
To one space, one file and common openings.
This collaboration from day to day ollows us to lead concerted actions and decisions, to share informations, computing network and new technologies and in the same time every gallery keeps her independance and her own identity.
Quickly, LOUISE became an attractive and exceptional focus of interest which has exceed our more optimistic expectations.
Each of our opening is the chance to welcome about 2 000 and 3 000 personnes.
Association LOUISE was created with the aim to organise projects and events (group exhibitions, movie projection, editions, ...) which is an opportunity to get involved in others kind of art and also out of our gallery’s spaces...

The collective group of galleries on rue Louise Weiss, in the XIIIth arrondissement, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with simultaneous openings on Saturday 17 March as of 4-9 pm.
