'Iontas 2001'
This year's exhibition will mark the 12th year of Iontas. The Iontas
exhibition has a characteristic which singles it out from other open
submission exhibitions and that is of course that there is a size limit on
the work accepted. Organised by the Sligo Art Gallery, Iontas regularly
attracts a high calibre of entries and remains one of OBG's most popularly
appealing shows.

'John Byrne - The Border Interpretative Centre'
John Byrne will present his hugely successful Border Interpretative Centre
at Ormeau Baths Gallery. The exhibition centres on his short-lived stint as
Director of the Centre which was set in beautiful border countryside right
in the line itself on the main Belfast to Dublin Road. Byrne will build the
actual interpretative centre in OBG's gallery four and recreate the events
around the launch of the centre last summer. On Thursday 21st June John
Byrne will perform, elaborating on his enthusiasm for the Border, and
introduce a video documenting the Centres opening ceremony.
Opening Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am -6pm
