A project by Exposito - Osservatorio Giovani Artisti Napoli
EXPOSITO - Osservatorio Giovani Artisti Napoli is a project conceived and realized by the Association Arteteca, sponsored and co-financed by the Assessorato alle Politiche Giovanili della Provincia di Napoli; its purpose is to constantly promote the young artists, placing them in a permanent international collaboration network.
The project has the purpose of creating a network which should grow from a local to a regional, national and finally international level; furthermore, we purport to create and stimulate a complex system of cultural exchange with the international promoters of young artists, such as documentation centres, foundations, institutions, cultural associations, art schools, artists’ residences and so forth.
Among the many initiatives already on our agenda:
exhibitions of young artists from all over the world, so as to establish a dialogue between different cultures and modes of expression;
conferences, seminars, conventions and workshops with artists, curators and art dealers from all over the country and beyond;
curatorship projects entrusted to young curators, in order to offer them working and research opportunities;
residences for young artists coming from abroad, with the aim of producing new work, developed in close relation with the new local reality
Information about the activities of EXPOSITO can be found at www.exposito.na.it; the database, currently containing the profiles of young artists from Campania, will be enriched by those of young foreign artists who will reside in Naples with relation to the events organized by EXPOSITO.
The 15th of October will start the first international artists residency in Naples that will last two months and will host three artists.
The residency program aims at creating an exchanging network between Campania and other international centers of contemporary art promotion (documentation centers, foundations, cultural associations, art academies, residency centers for artists).
