A project in which organic forms will merge with the architecture of the museum in order to have the visitors touch, feel and smell those abstract bodies. His work presents us with a seductive image of bodies imagined by the artist, revealing his interest in biological processes, in mutations and alteration of forms
Ernesto Neto (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1964) will present in CGAC a
project in which organic forms will merge with the architecture of the
museum in order to have the visitors touch, feel and smell those
abstract bodies. Elastic fabric floods the galleries with undulating
forms, undergoing constant changes. His work presents us with a
seductive image of bodies imagined by the artist, revealing his interest
in biological processes, in mutations and alteration of forms.
Ernesto Neto's works have been exhibited in the Contemporary Art
Museum, Houston; The Institute of Contemporary Art, London; The
Museum of Modern Art, New York; and in Spain, at Casa de
América and GalerÃa Elba BenÃtez, Madrid.
