On display will be photography by world-renowned American artist Spencer Tunic. In his works masses of naked people become an abstract structure in strong contrast with the architectural environment. The individual has less importance, the human body is treated as an artistic material used for sculpting the installation.
On the contrary, Danish artist Lise Blomberg focuses on private stories. Her works can be seen as intimate spaces of remembrance, as samplings of reality and the personal experience.
British artist Rebecca Stevenson contributes with the resin wax sculpture “Strawberry Letter”, that reveals her background as a classically educated sculptor. Poetry and decay of the flesh are mixed in this contemporary Vanitas motif, that refers to both kitsch and a classical art tradition.
Organized chaos is an ongoing motif in the works of Dutch artist Willem Weismann. A global awareness and seemingly political agenda is usually lurking in Weismann’s significantly detailed and highly coloristic oil paintings, where both destructed and rebuilt spaces intertwine.
In the technical refined works of American artist Beau Chamberlain decorative arabesques and decorations transform into organic sceneries on undefined pastelcoloured backgrounds. The highly detailed figurations create a dynamic contrast to the poetic silence of the background.
In two watercolour-pieces by Danish artist Julie Nord we encounter the artist’s girly fairytale universe, in which dangerous animals and monstrous hybrids disturb the otherwise safe and recognizable space.
Andreas Schulenburg equally shows works that reminds the viewer of a children's narration form with a series of humoristic cartoon-like oil paintings containing a sharp society satirical content.
Fie Norsker has been working on a series of drawings, in which amorphous landscapes are hidden in the depth of the eye. The deserted surroundings are brought to life by gendered references, combining gender and landscape in symbolic undertones, creating a new order.
Danish artist Trine Boesen depicts a dynamic patchwork of contemporary society, in which experiences from the everyday become reorganized in a new hierarchical painterly collage, with chaos and order ruling side by side.
