Inauguration of a new exhibition space with an exhibition of works by the artists Absalon, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Mona Hatoum, Bruce Nauman and Remy Zaugg, opens at Magasin 3 Stockholm Konsthall. Passage consists of a group of works, in which the artists exhibit, with exceptional clarity, the power required to create both a mental and a physical space in which topical issues may be discussed - a passage required both in the works of the artists and for the viewer.
PASSAGE consists of a group of works, in which the artists exhibit, with
exceptional clarity, the power required to create both a mental and a physical
space in which topical issues may be discussed - a passage required both in the
works of the artists and for the viewer. Cellule No. 6, a work by the Israeli
artist Absalon (1964-1993), will be shown for the first time in Sweden, as well
as Quarters, a pivotal work by Beirut-born artist Mona Hatoum. Untitled (For
Stockholm) by the Cuban artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres (1957-1996) will be shown
for the first time with all its components. Also part of the exhibition are
Untitled (Suspended Chair, Vertical III), by the American artist Bruce Nauman,
and a piece specially produced for Magasin 3 by the Swiss artist Rémy Zaugg.
PASSAGE is the first in a series of exhibitions which will expose different
facets of the Magasin 3 collection, which to date consists of nearly 500
contemporary artworks. The collection is focused on the individual artists who
have been presented in Magasin 3?s exhibitions since 1987.
The new series of exhibitions will, in the future, be produced by invited
individuals from diverse backgrounds, commissioned to analyse different aspects
of the collection and produce an exhibition based on their personal choices.
The public will have the opportunity to re-acquaint themselves with works shown
in previous exhibitions and see important works by artists who have not
previously exhibited at Magasin 3. The curator of PASSAGE is the director of
Magasin 3, David Neuman.
Inauguration of a new exhibition space
PASSAGE will inaugurate Magasin 3?s new exhibition space, which will increase

PASSAGE will run concurrently with the Magasin 3 exhibition FREE PORT (Janine
