“Inner Dialogue” will display recent works of six contemporary artists living and creating in Los Angeles. Each artist is participating with 4-6 works. Oil paintings, drawings, installation and mixed media works are included in the show.

For each of these artists the creative process is a necessity, a never-ending delight to achieve a self recognition. Self –cognition is not merely their achievement; it reflects their aptitude and inner discourse.

Ruben Amirian’s canvases are soft pastel color abstract compositions with fine artistic quality. His work is abstract but sometimes the abstract shapes and forms focus your vision to realistic images revealing pure and intimate feelings.

Kaloust Guedel creates mixed-media canvases mounted on board. According to Kaloust artist's imagination is bound to simplicity and as a rule is in conflict with common sense. An environment free of common sense invokes the abstract qualities of the thought, thereby stimulating a uniquely energized dialogue. Each work is a reflection of the self in fragmented way like pieces of a puzzle.

Sahak Pogosyan states that the scope of human mind in every person has a boundary; we think that by reaching it we are going to be happy. This is why we undertake actions. He believes that art should not have any canons or limits. If the work brings out sensations, no matter bad or good, you reached the goal.

Sasho is inspired by rich Armenian culture and traditions, and contagious landscapes in the midst of majestic mount Aragats. His romantic fairy tale figures are bounded with Mother Nature inspiring us with joy and warmth.
What is art for Vachag if not a miracle of the continuum of time, where the past is transformed into the future? For those who have no poetry in their souls, the view of the world is nothing but mere nostalgia. But for those who understand the secret of Art, “nostalgia” can be a fountain of inspiration.

For Zareh completion and perfection do not exist. Reality is not absolute, it is relative. Art is an expression relative to environment and period. His art is an act where time and transformation seek existence in movement, change, sequence, repetition, relationship and resemblance. It is his feelings, imagination, communication, struggle, relief and marks of existence.

Artist reception: Friday, February 29th, 6-9pm
