Panel Discussion. Greeley Iturbide addresses the relationship of photography to political action - a relationship that has a troubled history in Latin America of this period. The lecture discusses her photographic engagement with 2 very different forms of political mobilization: the inclusionary authoritarianism of the Torrijos regime in 1970s Panama, and the grassroots politics of the COCEI movement in 1980s Juchitan.
