BOUNCE
An eclectic mix of Music, Media, and Urban Lifestyles. This new series of monthly parties blends DJ and club culture, visual and media art, and urban lifestyle. "Holdin' it down" for all those hip hop heads and wannabes is an eclectic roster of DJs spinning old and new school music, drawing from the experimental/alternative to more commercial sounds in hip hop. New media work and visual art adds texture and context to this innovative mix of
urban hip hop culture and music.

Part of BOUNCE, The WORD! (working title) presents spoken word performances by emerging and established artists who fluidly mix their interest in hip hop with narratives of urban/street culture, politics, music, and cross-cultural dialogues. The series is organized by performance artist Steve Sapp from Universes, an award winning performance collective.Thursday, November 15, 2001 Launch of Bounce featuring DJ Kool Herc, Breakdance Crew Full Circle, and Hip Hop Portraits.
