Lumiere is a series of photographs inspired by both the freedom of the ocean and the storming of the Bastille. The symbol of the birth of the modern French nation, Muller reinterprets the iconic, historical event as his personal uprising as an artist. "Most of my images are blurry or distorted - the same lens through which people view their freedom throughout the year. I see life as colorful and liberated - free to express, to speak, to love. I hope my images unleash a little color in the viewer's eye, and open their soul." Michael Muller
