More than ever, current events and their mediatised context are mixed in day-to-day life. The phenomenon was amplified in the 1980s, with the ascendancy of television, of images relayed by satellite and then by the Internet. Within the field of art, we saw a category of artists emerge who play with the codes of the documentary, necessarily blurring the paths between art, fiction and reporting. This exhibition presents approaches offering different looks at the world through a multiplication of techniques and of media used going from photography to the installation, and including video. Work by: Kader Attia, Yto Barrada, Eric Baudelaire, Philippe Chancel, Claudine Doury, Ange Leccia, Jean-Luc Moulene, Melik Ohanian, Sophie Ristelhuber, Anri Sala, Lise Sarfati. Curated by Anne-Laure Chamboissier and Bernard Marcelis.
