Ron Haselden is well known for his many commissioned light projects around the world. For his exhibition at Mobile Home he has created a new site specific installation, Gaslight, in which four neon tubes are suspended diagonally across each of the rooms in the gallery. The four lengths of clear glass, filled respectively with neon, argon, argon with mercury and helium, bend visibly under their own weight in the larger rooms.
GASLIGHT and other small light works
Mobile Home is pleased to present a solo exhibition of light works by Ron
Haselden.
Ron Haselden is well known for his many commissioned light projects around
the world. For his exhibition at Mobile Home he has created a new site
specific installation, GASLIGHT, in which four neon tubes are suspended
diagonally across each of the rooms in the gallery. The four lengths of
clear glass, filled respectively with neon, argon, argon with mercury and
helium, bend visibly under their own weight in the larger rooms.
Haselden will also show three other smaller light pieces, including
'CASTRATO', a light flame which flickers in time to a voice singing 'Ave
Maria', 'WINDVANE' in which the light changes according to the wind
direction outside the gallery, and 'TROP VITE!', a continuously flashing
