It's a Wonderful Life. Not abandoning her origins as a painter, the artist revamps her practice by introducing elements of the ephemeral, selected by pure instinctive observation. Using satire and a Duschampian inspired nominalist approach, Blloshmi constructs a small universe that if one looks closely at, has her at the centre with its characters spinning around like small dependable planets.

As a continuation of its exhibition program with contemporary Albanian and international artists, ZETA Gallery and T.I.C.A. – Tirana Institute of Contemporary Art present Lume Blloshmi’s solo show: “It’s a Wonderful Life”
It’s for a while now that Lume Blloshmi is developing a new research in her artistic practice, exploring extra-pictorial dimensions. Not abandoning her origins as a painter, the artist revamps her practice by introducing elements of the ephemeral, selected by pure instinctive observation. Using satire and a Duschampian inspired nominalist approach, Lume Blloshmi constructs a small universe that if one looks closely at, has her at the centre with its characters spinning around like small dependable planets.
Curated by Edi Muka, Lume Blloshmi’s exhibition will bring for the public some new projects, as well as some new parts of her ongoing project “It’s a Men’s World”.
A catalogue with the exhibited projects is published for the exhibition.
The exhibition is made possible through the generous support of FAVA – Foundation for Albanian Visual Art Across Borders. FAVA is committed to supporting the fine arts in Albania with the help of the local business community and help to preserve a unique culture for the country to treasure, and for the international world to discover.
