Artist is is said to be shy as she prefers working behind closed doors of her studio rather than creating her works with an interaction of public. The forms of Lehocka's installations are unstable and vary depending on the exposition space. These spatial arrangements consists of her drawings, paintings and sculptures, which she often combines with organic objects like wood or pebbles.
Denisa Lehocka is now one of the most
interesting figures of the Central European contemporary art scene.

consists of her drawings, paintings and sculptures, which she often
combines with organic objects like wood or pebbles.
It is
deffinitelly worth noticing that she took part in Manifesta 3 in 2000
and also in three significant exhibitions in the last year: Cutting
Realities - Gender Strategies in Art in New York, Micronarratives in
St Etienne adn Mediations Biennale in Poznan. She lives and works in
Bratislava.
