A major ShanghART exhibition and Zheng Guogu's first exhibition at
ShanghART.
Zheng Guogu (born 1970 in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1992). With his earlier photo works (e.g. 'The Strange Life of Youth in Yangjiang', 'Ten Thousand Customers' etc.), he documented the life and the people of his native place, a 'nondescript' small town in full change in the South of China, and established his reputation as a very innovative artist.
Zheng Guogu works in various media, including photo, oil, installation, performance. He has participated in many exhibitions in China and abroad (Cities on the Move, Taibei Biennale, Chengdu Biennale, etc..)
"Are you Going to Enjoy Calligraphy or Measure Blood Pressure?" will
show calligraphie related works by Zheng Guogu and three of his friends
(Sha Yeya, Sun Qingling, Chen Zaiyan ).
